Khorji

KHORJI

An elaborate silk brocade, woven on hand looms in Surat specially for the native princes of Siam. The design is an eight-petalled flower encircled by leaves and developed in gold threads on a coloured silk ground. A border in gold on red and black silk is woven in the Buddhist bell ornament.
